In this body of work, I pre-plan each picture and then I have colored Plexiglas pieces fabricated at a local machine shop. I then adhere the pieces onto a larger plastic panel. I strive for a uniform (if somewhat off balance) symmetry. There is an aspect of scale in the work that makes it seem that the repeated pattern could continue forever. The edges, the point at which I define the piece, are essentially “the art”. Ideally, the work conveys little if any physical labor on my part and that it appears merely purchased and assembled as opposed to handmade or crafted.
